Simple Living

Definition: Living without excess. Living with simple technologies.

I've been continually endeavouring towards a simpler life for almost two decades. Over that time I have experimented with much and learned even more. I've come to understand what I need and what I want are often two different things. I've come to understand that God provides what I need first and what I want thereafter.

Now when I make a decision, I often do so with the thought of, "do I need this, or do I want it?" Or I'll ask myself "how can I do this with what I already have?" Both statements are about intention and being a good steward of what I have been given.

What I've Learned

I want to share the things I've learned through simple living. - You don't need to move to woods to live simply. - Simple living starts in your mind before it begins outwardly. - Simple Living is not the same as simpley living. - Simple Living is sometimes high effort. - Buy things that will last a lifetime even though they cost more. Buy once, cry once.
